Each input channel can process three different audio signals. Pressing the button switches between the microphone or line inputs. When the line inputs are active, a second button can be used to switch between line-1 and line-2. Inputs 3, 4 and 5 are equipped with a RIAA correction filter so that turntables can be directly connected to them. All this means that a total of 21 audio inputs are available! A feature for a mixer of this quality are the balanced outputs on XLR connectors. In addition to these balanced outputs, unbalanced outputs are also available on cinch connectors.

Another practical feature of this mixer is the stereo effect send output. Each input module can be set to send or not send its signal to the effect output. This also allows the effect output to be used as a cleanfeed output.

The large 2×40 segment VU meter is switchable between master and PFL. All switches in the master section have LED indicators. Each microphone channel has a switchable 48V phantom power supply.

Due to the internal modular structure, the extremely solid construction and the use of high-quality components, the LPM7.4 has become a high-quality mixing console that is extremely suitable for 'on the road' work.
